Cozy games for winding down at night

Not every session needs to be a challenge. Some nights you just want something gentle to hold your attention while the day cools off, and the mobile catalog is quietly full of those.

Garden of Cogs is my current go-to. It's a puzzle game, but the pace is so relaxed it feels more like tending something than solving something. No timers, no failure states shouting at you.

The shared trait among the best cozy games is generosity. They don't hide progress behind grind, they let you stop whenever, and they never make you feel behind. That's harder to design than it sounds.

If you struggle to switch off at night, swap the competitive game for a cozy one an hour before bed. It sounds like small advice, but it genuinely changed how I wind down.
