Neon Driftline is unapologetically arcade — no tire temperatures, no fuel maps, just you, a glowing coastline, and a corner you're about to take way too fast. The drift model is forgiving enough to feel good in your first minute and deep enough to chase leaderboard times in your fiftieth.
Steering uses tilt by default, but there's a solid touch-button option that we actually preferred for tighter tracks. The sense of speed is genuine, helped by a soundtrack that ramps with your combo meter. Some later tracks recycle scenery a bit too often, which is our main gripe.
It's the perfect game to hand someone who says they don't play mobile games. Ten seconds in, they get it, and ten minutes in they're still going.
