Iron Meridian
Iron Meridian asks a question most mobile strategy games avoid: what if logistics were the fun part? You're less a warlord and more a quartermaster, keeping fragile supply lines alive across broken mountain passes while rivals try to choke them off. It sounds dry and it absolutely is not.
The touch interface is a small marvel here. Dragging routes, pinch-zooming into a contested valley, and queuing orders all feel precise, which matters when a single cut road can unravel an hour of planning. Matches are long by mobile standards but pause-friendly, so you can step away and pick the thread back up.
It's a thinking person's game and won't suit everyone. If you like watching a plan slowly come together and then hold under pressure, few pocket strategy titles do it this well.
What we liked
- Fresh focus on logistics over brute force
- Precise, well-built touch controls
- Pause-and-resume matches for real life
